How it Works

Service Provider Perspective

If you’re looking to process credit card transactions direct to your bank account, you need a merchant account with the iEpayments. This is how the payment gateway works.

When the buyer enters their card details into your check out page, the payment gateway sends a message to the issuing card holder’s account verifying the accuracy of the card data and availability of the required funds.

Once this information is validated and the funds are confirmed to be available, the payment gateway sends the transaction information to your merchant account. In turn, it requests the funds transfer and deposits the money into your account.

The buyer then receives a message confirming the transaction. A copy is sent to you along with the details of the purchase and delivery address.

All this takes place in milliseconds and the easiest payment gateway software iEPayments

End User | Buyer Perspective

The customer places the order on the Merchants website after selecting and adding items in the shopping cart.

The Customer selects payment mode i.e. pay via credit card facility available on the site. The Customer is then redirected through iEpayments Gateway to the Acquiring Bank where customer enters his/her credit card details on Secured Payment page.

The collected Credit card information (shared by the customer) is transmitted securely for 3D secure verification, on successful 3D authentication is shared with the Issuing Bank for further authentication.

On successful authentication by the Issuing Bank, the  information is shared with the Acquiring Bank. The final result is forwarded to IEpayments (via the Acquiring Bank).

The Customer receives a confirmation and is redirected to the merchant’s website.
